KCCA, in collaboration with Kitebi Secondary School, has today launched a Smart City Ambassadors Holiday Camp bringing together teenagers aged 13-19years old in residential training. The primary goal of the camp is to rally the young people as Smart City ambassadors and instil values that promote smart living and smart self governance.
The camp opened its doors on December 2nd and is set to run until December 10th, 2023. Addressing participants, Dorothy Kisaka, the KCCA Executive Director, emphasized the pivotal role of students as Smart City ambassadors in promoting city cleaniliness, non littering, and promoting greening in the city. She emphasized that “the Smart City starts with you” and rallied the students to be ambassadors of this message wherever they go.
The camp is facilitated by several skilled facilitators to enable the campers to be bold, assertive, courageous, and good decision makers.
