As the city gears up for the global summits, the minister for Kampala and Metropolitan affairs has made a rallying call to all stakeholders to contribute to the overall development of the city.
In that regard, the minister announced house to house inspections to commence on 1st December 2023. She said the inspections will focus on aspects that is; cleanliness, proper waste disposal, building renovations, removal of illegal structures, installation of lighting, maintenance of green spaces, and adherence to construction site regulations, among other criteria.“Non-compliance will lead to enforcement actions in line with relevant city planning and environmental regulations.” said the minister
Property owners, city operators, and the public are urged to address these requirements by December 20, 2023, to avoid penalties.
