Deputy Speaker of Uganda’s Parliament Rt. Hon.Thomas Tayebwa:This morning at 10:30am, Parliament received the body of Hon. Joyce Mpanga, who passed away on Saturday, November 18 at the age of 89. As former State Minister for Primary Education and former Woman MP for Mubende district, she served our country with distinction. The body will lie in state where members of parliament and well-wishers will pay their last respects. At 2pm, the House will hold a special sitting to pay tribute to this icon.
