Nigerian superstar Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, is set to headline the grand opening of the state-of-the-art Nakivubo Stadium, thanks to tycoon Hamis Kiggundu, also known as Ham, who is overseeing the stadium’s construction.
Although the exact opening dates for the stadium have yet to be announced, recent photos shared by Hamis Kiggundu indicate that it will soon be ready to host events.
According to entertainment booking sources, Burna Boy’s performance fee is approximately $700,000, which translates to Ugx 2.6 billion, a sum that Hamis is reportedly willing to pay.
This will mark Burna Boy’s third performance in Uganda if the rumors are accurate. He previously appeared in 2013 at Namboole Stadium during the Club Mega Fest and then at Sheraton Gardens in early 2019.
