Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum brings its award-winning conference to Kigali
Kigali, Rwanda – The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) is bringing its award-winning annual conference to East Africa for the first time, with its 9 th edition taking place on 9 and 10 November in Kigali, Rwanda.

The AWIEF Conference is Africa's leading entrepreneurship event and provides a powerful platform for bringing together thought leaders, policymakers, development partners, and stakeholders in the African entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem for high-level discussions on Africa's economic development challenges and proffering inclusive solutions.

By gathering a pan-African and international representation of business owners, leaders, and communities, the event promotes intra-Africa trade, shines a light on achievements and acts as a catalyst to network, share knowledge, engage in dialogue, and learn from experts and peers across the continent’s borders and beyond.

The AWIEF2023 Conference and Awards will be held at the Kigali Convention Centre (KCC) on 9 and 10 November 2023, in partnership with Rwanda’s Ministry of ICT and Innovation (MINICT), Private Sector Federation – Rwanda, Specialised Cluster, and Rwanda Convention Bureau.
With the theme, Leveraging the Power of the Digital Economy: Innovate, Redefine, Empower, the event aims to boost inclusivity, enhance partnerships, and empower startups and entrepreneurs in the digital economy.

The powerful global speaker faculty for AWIEF2023 includes H. E. Paula Ingabire, Minister of ICT and Innovation, Rwanda; Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Co-founder, Motsepe Foundation, Chancellor of the University of Cape Town, and Founder, African Fashion International (AFI); Fatma Samba Diouf Samoura, Secretary General, FIFA; Clare Akamanzi, CEO, Rwanda Development Board; Cosmas Zavazava, Director,Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT),International Telecommunications Union (ITU); Yvonne Manzi Makolo, CEO, RwandAir and Chairperson, Board of Governors, IATA; Eleanor Nwadinobi, President, Medical Women's International Association (MWIA); and many more.
AWIEF Founder and CEO, Irene Ochem, said: “We are excited to be bringing the 9 th edition of our annual conference to East Africa for the first time and especially Kigali, one of the most exciting cities in Africa right now.
