History has been made in Uganda as a man marries off Seven (7) Women, of which Two (2) are Siblings.
This Ugandan man identified as Hajji Habib Ssezzigu, commonly known as Ssaalongo Nsikonenne married off his 7 wives on the 11th of September, 2023, in Kijo village, Nakifuma sub-county, in Mukono District.
Before the wedding day, Hajji Habib used Seven (7) days to hold introduction ceremonies where he visited every home of all his Seven wives.
The wedding was at Nakifuma Twale Mosque and the wives were: Habib Aisha, Rashidah Habib, Marion Ssezzigu, Aisha Ssekitoleko Habib, Farida Ssezzigu, Jaliah Nalule Habib, Miriam Habib and Hajirah Ssezzigu.
After the wedding, Hajji Habib and his 7 wives paralyzed the whole Nakifuma with a drive which was accompanied by a band to his home area where the reception was held.
While giving his speech, Hajji Habib surprised his guests when he revealed that all his seven wives stay under one roof.
“I am so happy on this day, I’ve always told my wives that I love them equally and that’s why I conducted a wedding for all of them at once. All my wives stay in one house but have different bedrooms, they all share one bathroom and kitchen” – said Hajji Habib.
