Bad news for Ismaël Bennacer. Injured since last season and absent six months, the Algerian midfielder is not part of the list of players retained by AC Milan for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League held from September 19 to December 13.
Indeed, even if he is in the return phase, Bennacer will be too fair to play part of the group stages. Hence the decision to dismiss it.
However, he could be in the list for the next phase, provided AC Milan qualify for the knockout stages.
On the other hand, the Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze, recruited this summer from Villarreal, will indeed be in the game.
