KCCA continues to boost urban farmers with more farm supplies.

In Kawempe Division 103 NAADS beneficiaries have received 15,000 day old chicks and 300 kgs of 25kg bag of pelleted poultry feed. This was officiated on monday 21st Aug 2023 by the chairperson gender Kawempe Division.Also in attendance were OWC   in charge of Kawempe,Area councilors for Mpererwe,Komamboga and Kawempe I Parishes , gender staff for Kawempe Division and Kawempe farmer forum leadership.

The intension is to support the farmers to have enough feeds for their chicks when they are still in a delicate size. This is the last supply of the current 5 year  NAADS program around the city and its peri urban areas.

Urban farming in agro bussiness is one of the approaches employed by the KCCA directorate of gender community services and production to enhance incomes for the urban poor.
