Today the Hon Minister for Kampala and Metropolitan affairs Hajjati Minsa Kabanda led the road inspection tour in Nakawa and Makindye Division. The team comprising the area MP, Hon Balimwezo, the Mayors for Nakawa Paul Mugambe and for Central Division Salim Uhuru accompanied the Minister, together with the Nakawa NRM chairman Nicholas Arinitwe
The Minister inspected the Portbell road which is being expanded to four lanes, laying new drainage channels and connecting bridge above the railway tracks.
Hajjati Minsa Kabanda was welcomed by the Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka and members of the Engineering technical team and the DivisionTown clerk Dennis Omondi. They inspected the industrial area roads where forward maintenance has been done to cover the large potholes as they await total reconstruction.
In Makindye Division,She was welcomed by the Division Mayor Kasirye Nganda and the Town Clerk Janet Luzinda. The minister applauded the contractors and urged them to respect quality and timely delivery
