Hon. Members, I also received Petitions from; i)The Uganda Sugar Manufacturers Association regarding challenges affecting the efficiency and effectiveness of the sugar sector mainly arising from regulatory weaknesses on the part of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives; and ii)The National Association of Broadcasters regarding the government policy on business to private media houses.Pursuant to Rule 30 (5) of Rules of Procedure, I hereby refer the Petition from the Uganda Sugar Manufacturers Association to the Sectoral Committee on Tourism, Trade and Industry and the one from the National Association of Broadcasters to the Sectoral Committee on ICT and National Guidance.
The 45 days reporting timeframe prescribed in Rule 30 (10) of the Rules of Procedure apply.
