Hundreds of West Ham’s faithful traveled to Prague ticketless to support their side, having been unable to get a seat in the stadium due to the high demand.
But, with several empty seats, UEFA and Fiorentina supporters were heavily criticised by the Irons supporters on social media.
Supporter Lucas asked: ‘Why the hell are there empty seats?’ ahead of kick-off for the huge clash.
Another Iron fan shared the sentiment, questioning UEFA for the venue.
He wrote: ‘How can a stadium used for a European final have a capacity of less than 20k and still have so many empty seats?’
Despite many fans not being able to get tickets for the final, West Ham supporters across the globe will be celebrating tonight for years to come.
Jarrod Bowen wrote his name into history, netting the winner in the final minutes of the final to see his side lift the European trophy on Wednesday night.
West Ham have won their first major trophy in more than 40 years in dramatic fashion after an 89th minute winner over Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final.
Jarrod Bowen secured a 2-1 victory for the east London side as the game seemed to be heading into extra time in Prague.
The Hammers had opened the scoring after Fiorentina captain Cristiano Biraghi touched the ball with his hand to give away a penalty at around the hour mark.
It was confidently converted by Algerian winger Said Benrahma who celebrated emphatically with his own fans.
Their joy was short-lived as Giacomo Bonaventura equalised with an impressive finish at the opposite end just minutes later.
Some tense minutes followed for both sets of fans as the two sides sought a winner.
In the 89th minute Bowen timed his run to pick up a weighted pass from Lucas Paqueta before breaking free of the defence.
He slotted the ball into the bottom right corner before manager David Moyes and the West Ham supporters in the stadium erupted into celebrations.
West Ham had last won a major trophy when they lifted the FA Cup in 1980.
Their Europa Conference League victory marks their first European trophy since 1965.
