Dr. Angella Karoro, a respected university lecturer in Uganda, was found dead in her bed just a day after conducting her regular lessons.
The sudden and untimely demise of the senior lecturer at Busitema University’s Nangongera campus has left her family, friends, and colleagues in deep shock and mourning.
Dr. Karoro, a renowned academician at the prominent university was discovered lifeless in her bed a day after she attended lessons.
Relatives suspect she died of blood pressure
According to the Daily Monitor, there were no signs of struggle or any suspicious activity in her room, which makes family members believe she died of a blood pressure-related issue or a blood clot.
The university publicist Dr Charles Muweesi told the media that they cannot divulge many details because the the case is under investigation.
“It’s true one of our senior lecturers died, but we are yet to establish the cause of death because the postmortem report is yet to be availed to us,” he said.
The don added that the deceased’s neighbours tried to rush her to hospital but she was pronounced on arrival.
She looked normal previous day
Karoro’s colleague Agnes Masajja disclosed that the tragic news took them by surprise because the lecturer had been on campus the previous day and went about her routine normally.
“Those who were close to her said she was in her normal mood and attended to her office chores before retiring home. It’s unfortunate to hear that she passed on,” a grieving Masajja added.
Meanwhile, friends and colleagues have been paying tribute to Dr. Karoro, highlighting her remarkable contributions to academia and her warm and compassionate nature.
Colleagues and students describe her as an exceptional teacher, mentor, and an inspiration to many.
Busitema University administration expressed their profound grief at the loss of a valuable member of their academic community.
The body was taken to Mulago Hospital for an autopsy, but as of the time of going to press the results had not been availed to the university.
As the investigation into her sudden death continues, her family and colleagues mourn the loss of an exceptional educator and role model.
Once the postmortem is done, the body will be taken to the deceased’s ancestral home in Bushenyi District for burial.
