The Absa Kampala run for the girl child was flagged off this Sunday morning by the KCCA Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka. The 21km run around the seven Hills of Kampala is fundraising to keep the girl child in school. Kisaka said the KCCA 79 UPE schools are working hard to ensure the girl child is well looked after. She sighted Kitante Primary School and Kamwokya KCCA schools, which have over 2000 pupils as schools that need more support. ABSA bank Uganda, in partnership with stakeholders, launched their first ever Kampala seven Hills run featuring 2000 participants
The marathon is called ‘Absa 7 Hills run’ was flagged off at Kingdom Kampala at 6.30am. KCCA is a natural partner because the run showcases Kampala beautiful city across the original 7 hills. It allows Banakampala and visitors an opportunity to see and appreciate the city away from cars and hustle.
