PREMIER LEAGUE:ARTETA DESCRIBES HAALAND AS INCOMPARABLE AHEAD MAN CITY CLASH

Prior to Wednesday’s top-of-the-table Premier League game at the Etihad Stadium, Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, claimed that Erling Haaland’s remarkable goal total for Manchester City puts him apart from all other players this season.

With 32 goals, Haaland tops the league’s goal scoring charts, eight ahead of second-placed Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur and twelve ahead of third-placed Ivan Toney of Brentford.

The Norwegian international needs one goal to surpass Mohamed Salah of Liverpool’s record of 38 Premier League games with the most goals scored.https://kmaupdates.com/

In 42 games for City this season, he has scored 48 goals overall in all competitions, including 12 in the Champions League.

When you look at the numbers, there is no comparison with anybody else,” Arteta told reporters on Tuesday.

“He (Haaland) is able to produce that as well because the setup is done in the right way for him.

“Even with him they have the capacity to play in a different way.”

Following three draws in a row, Arsenal travels to City on Wednesday in an effort to regain control of the title chase.

After their recent slide, the north London club’s lead over City has shrunk to five points, and they have played two more games than Pep Guardiola’s team.

When asked how Arsenal intended to stop City and silence Haaland, Arteta responded:

“We are working on their threats as well as on their weaknesses, we know where they are. City start from the keeper, he is a threat with the ball.

“They can do various things, so many things that you have to adapt to, so you have to focus on certain principles.”

Arsenal hasn’t lost in their past five games across all competitions, but they haven’t claimed a league victory at City since 2015.https://kmaupdates.com/

Since losing to Tottenham Hotspur in early February, City has gone unbeaten in 16 games in all competitions, with 13 victories and 3 draws.
