Uganda women Parliamentary Association has called for increased empowerment of women in technological advancement

In commemoration of women’s day , members are concern that the number of women in the technological and innovation businesses is still worryingly low

Under the Global theme,

Innovation for a gender equity, Uwopa highlights the need for equality and respect of rights of women.

They also called for investment in Innovation  for economic empowerment,  passing of gender sensitive laws such as the sexual offenses Bill and Support women Innovative in the digital age

They also called for removal of all barriers that hinder women and girls from involving in technological innovation and supporting Women in taking up digital  world
