The Co-operative Societies Act places regulation of SACCOs under the Registrar of Co-operatives, the Tier 4 Microfinance & Money Lenders Act places big SACCOs under

: I strongly encourage the Board and the Management of the SACCO to continue strict adherence to the regulatory framework that governs the operations of the SACCO so as to assure the members of the safety of their savings and stake in the SACCO.
