Uganda Martyrs University to mark the 30th anniversary celebration

The Uganda Martyrs University -UMU has tasked the incoming leadership of the Institution’s Alumni Association to ensure that the undergoing construction of Faculty of Law storage building is completed before the 30th anniversary celebration.
The university will be celebrating it’s 30th anniversary on October 18 since it’s establishment in the 1993.
Prof. Patrick Kyamanywa, the UMU Vice Chancellor while addressing the Journalists at the Rubaga Campus just after the elections of new UMU Alumni Association -UMUAA leadership yesterday (Saturday) said that the building is expected to be commissioned on that day that will see even the pioneer class of law graduated.
He commits to assist the incoming UMUAA leadership in ensuring that the Sh500million needed to complete the construction of this building raised before the 30th anniversary date.

Prof. Kyamanywa further extended a reminder to President Yoweri Museveni to fulfill his Shs1bn pledge he committed in 2018 in helping the University’s developments including the construction of a Jubile Multi Purpose building at Rubaga branch.

Regarding the UMUAA leadership, the Bank of Africa Executive Director Robinson Bernard Magulu succeeded Ambrose Kibuuka on on the associational Presidency and promised to work hand-in-hand with the university management in achieving it’s goals.
While Kibuuka, the outgoing UMUAA President explained their achievements including developing a strategic plan for the association and reviewing their constitution to ease the leadership operations.
