Hussein Mugerwa, a resident of Kibuye shared his excitement on receiving the gift hamper: “I am a Muslim, and I don’t celebrate Christmas but that did not stop me from getting a Christmas gift. I have been drinking Coca-Cola since I was a child, and I am not about to stop. To me, this serves as a token of appreciation for my support. Which company can give you a gift to thank you for supporting them? I feel very happy that Coca-Cola is celebrating with everyone.” He happily said.

Throughout this week, the Coca-Cola Christmas Caravans are making stops are different locations in the communities spreading the festive spirit cheer. The gift hampers include assorted commodities ranging from; Coca-Cola products, rice, cooking oil, hens/cocks, and spaghetti as a sign of togetherness and to celebrate the magic of humanity as they prepare for the festive season.

“I have always heard about the Coca-Cola Christmas trucks that give Christmas gifts and I always thought it’s not real, but today I witnessed it. I am very happy that we are not eating beef as earlier planned because of the current tight economy. Thank you so much Coke for my chicken”, commented an excited Anembabazi Sharon from Katwe, one of Kampala suburbs.

The Coca-Cola Christmas Caravan is a long-standing tradition that encourages giving back to the community and creating shared magic and experiences. It invites everyone, everywhere to celebrate the magic of humanity. Central to the philosophy is the belief that we find magic when we come together and share experiences. The real magic of Christmas invites us to experience a higher sense of appreciation for loved ones, a sense of community, and our need to be present with each other this Christmas, above all else.

“We believe in creating shared opportunities and refreshing the communities we operate in. Christmas presents a great opportunity to bond with our customers, through sharing and spreading more cheer. We are happy to be part your celebrations and turning every moment into cherished memories,” said Lee newton Ogong, Chanel & Trade Marketing Manager, Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda.

“We invite all Ugandans to join us when you spot our caravans in your location. Come let’s celebrate together and stand a chance to work away with a hamper. We wish all our customers a merry Christmas. Here is to create more magic together,” he concluded.
