Today morning the Minister of Finance Hon. Matia Kasaija has handed over the land along Yusuf Lule Rd (Formerly NSSF land) to the President & Chairman of  Board of Directors of African-Export-Import Bank  (AFREXIM BANK) H.E Dr Benedict Okey Oramah.

The land will be used for construction of the Regional Headquarters of the  Bank. The Government of Uganda through KCCA has provided land to AFREXIM as a way of facilitating & expediting its establishment in Uganda. AFREXIM a renowned bank is expected to ease long term credit with low interest rates to Ugandans.

This is good for Uganda. Having a bank that gives ugandans long term capital for less interest has been one of our challenges, Ugandans can now embark on long term projects if we adjust our policies at Bank of Uganda as well.

The early morning meeting was attended by the Minister of state for  Finance Henry Musasizi, Deputy Governor Bank of Uganda  Micheal Attingi-Ego, the Permanent Secretary Finance, Ramathan Ggobi and Dorothy Kisaka the KCCA  Executive Director. Other executives from AFREXIMbank attended the event including Robert Tomusange and Stephen Tio Kauma
