Kampala, Uganda: Renown Uganda’s long time key opposition figure Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye Kifeffe arrested by Police in an attempt to protest ever rising commodity prices and alleged political succession.
Dr. Besigye has this morning been intercepted outside his home in Kasangati Town Council and taken to an unknown place.
For a spell of about half a year commodity prices in Uganda have increased at an increasing rate by more than 50% and others at 100% although this factor is linked to external factors like the war in Russia by government, some economists believe that there are some local measures that can be instituted to harmonize the situation.
At the time of publication, we had not yet established where Dr. Besigye was taken.
