JOHANNESBURG, South Africa – 28 April 2022 – Team Qhubeka is delighted to announce our collaboration with acclaimed ‘urban and retro cycling gear’ outfitter – The Vandal – with the release of a fantastic range of items in the iconic ‘Hand Up’ collection.
For Team Qhubeka, the hand is symbolic, illustrating that bicycle beneficiaries are receiving a hand up in their lives, not a handout. ’Hand up’ symbolizes how we are all connected to one another. It expresses who we are and reinforces our purpose that bicycles change lives.
Through our partnership with the Qhubeka Charity we have contributed to the distribution of over 35 000 bicycles in communities in South Africa; and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of items in the ‘Hand Up’ collection will go directly to the Charity.
