It was another night full of talking points for Manchester United as they claimed a Premier League victory over Brentford.
Goals from Anthony Elanga, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford ensured Manchester United claimed a 3-1 win at the Brentford Community Stadium on Wednesday night.
But it was star man Cristiano Ronaldo who was once again the main talking point as he showed just how unimpressed he was at being substituted with 20 minutes left.
The striker hurled his coat to the floor as he sat down on the bench muttering “why?”.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick has also explained the absences of Jadon Sancho and Edinson Cavani from the matchday squad after the two stars didn’t feature at all.
Here are Mirror Football’s latest Manchester United headlines.

Brentford talking points
United overcame a tricky away fixture to put another three points on Premier League table as they beat Brentford 3-1 on Wednesday night.
Anthony Elanga broke the deadlock early in the second half when he headed in following a heavy touch which looped over Brentford goalkeeper Jonas Lossl.
Seven minutes later United added a second when Bruno Fernandes raced through and squared the ball for Greenwood to apply a simple finish.
Marcus Rashford then wrapped up the three points with a smart near-post finish from Fernandes’ pass with 13 minutes remaining.
It was an eventful match full of talking points, which Mirror Football has helpfully rounded up.
Ronaldo’s fury
One man who was left unhappy with his evening, though, was Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portugal international was visibly furious when he was replaced in the second half by Harry Maguire, trudging off the pitch and muttering “why?” as he sat down on the bench.
United boss Rangnick was later seen explaining the decision to an unhappy Ronaldo following the clear sign of his unhappiness at being taken off.
Rangnick explains absences
Interim United boss has had to explain a lot of absences from his first-team squad lately.
French winger Anthony Martial disputed claims he refused to travel to Aston Villa last weekend, and Rangnick was also asked about the absences of Jadon Sancho and Edinson Cavani in the squad to face Brentford.
In the end, United didn’t need either star as they ran out clear winners.
And Rangnick has explained the move to leave both of them out of his matchday squad, a decision he has described as “logical”.
