The 19-year-old said she was sick for two months after getting Covid in August and praised vaccines for helping to protect her and her family.

She told Stern’s radio show: “It was terrible. I still have side effects. I was sick for, like, two months almost.”

The Happier Than Ever singer stressed she was “fine” because of the vaccine but she said being struck down with Covid was “bad”.

She added: “I think if I weren’t vaccinated, I would have died, because it was bad.

“I more just mean that it felt horrible. But really, in the scheme of Covid, it was not bad.

“You know what I mean? When you’re sick, you feel f*****g horrible.”

The artist, recently nominated in seven categories at the 2022 Grammy awards, previously told a Vanity Fair interview: “Please get vaccinated… It’s for everyone around you.”

Next year, she is set to become the youngest ever solo headliner of Glastonbury Festival which will conclude her UK and Ireland tour in support of Happier Than Ever, her second album
