FIFA U-20 Women World Cup Qualifiers:
1st Leg:Â Uganda Vs South Africa (Friday, 3rd December 2021)
2nd Leg: South Africa Vs Uganda (16th – 17th December 2021)
The Uganda U-20 Women’s National Team has stepped up preparations their ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualification matches against South Africa.
The team has been also boosted by the timely arrival of teenager Lillian Mutuuzo in camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisaasi, taking the number of players to 28.
Mutuuzo, a player at Kampala Queens Women Football Club is delighted having joined the rest of the teammates.
‘I am so happy to have joined the rest of the U-20 teammates. I look forward working hard in training sessions and all the practice matches as we look forward the match against South Africa. Also, I will listen attentively to the coaches’ Mutuuzo revealed.
Uganda will face South Africa in a two legged contest with the first leg slated for December 3rd at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
The return leg shall be played between 16th to 17th December in South Africa.
The same team used the CECAFA Women’s U-20 Championship as a precursor for the up-coming matches under the stewardship of the head coach Ayub Khalifah Kiyingi.
They have also played a series of build up matches against She Corporate Women Football Club and MSINGI soccer Academy.
Kiyingi is contented with the performance of the players in all the training sessions thus far.
‘It is so far so good. The performances have been superb.with some impressive results although we lost, I was comfortable with the way the players expressed themselves’ he stated.
Meanwhile, the team resumes training on Friday, 26th November 2021.
