Ruto said at 63 years, Wambui from Naivasha knits scarves and uses the proceeds to support her grandchildren who live with her after the death of their mother. The handicrafts sector The DP recognized the impact the informal handicraft sector is playing in lifting the living standards of most Kenyans. “The handicrafts sector teems with inspired and creative Hustlers whose daily occupation requires them to imagine a beautiful world for themselves, their families and their clients,” he explained. Ruto vowed that such sectors would form an integral part of his bottom-up economic model if he ascends the presidency next year. Chaos during Ruto’s tour The deputy president has been traversing the Nyanza region but on Wednesday, November 10, his entry to Kondele, Kisumu was marred with chaos after rowdy youths stoned his convoy.
