Al Ahly assistant coach Sami Komsan has lauded Percy Tau for the impact he made on his debut with the Egyptian Premier League giants on Wednesday.
“It was clear that we changed our formation in today’s game. Also, we got to see how the new players will blend into the team. Tau, Miquissone, Abdelkader, and all the rest of the team put on a good performance tonight.”
“In the same time we had Kahraba and Mohamed Sherif on the bench tonight. Also, we had several absences like: Mohamed El Shenawy, Walid Soliman, Mahmoud Wahid, and Mahmoud Metwally,” Komsan told Al Ahly website.
Tau scored two goals in the 4-0 win over Ismaily at at Borg Al Arab Stadium where other scorers were Ali Maaloul and Ahmed Abdelkader.
Komsan also said Mozambican Luis Miquissone impressed in the game.
“It’s very important to start off the league campaign with a win. The team performed exceptionally well tonight. They were well prepared for the game and they were fully focused on having a strong start.”
“We still have a long road to go. We expect a tough competition as we will be overwhelmed with games, aside from the fact that all teams will be motivated to win,” he said.
“Finally, I would like to see our fans supporting us throughout the upcoming period; especially, that we managed to accomplish great things in the last two years.”
