Venezuela’s Guaido calls for new protests as pressure mounts on Maduro

CASCARAS, Venezuela

Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro on Sunday rejected a European ultimatum that he call elections as opposition rival Juan Guaido stepped up appeals to the military to turn against his government.

Since his rise to power, the oil rich country has been infested with corruption, mass migration of its citizens, poverty, declined health services, increased prices in fuel, food , accommodation and so many more.
