The Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) Unit Disciplinary Committee has charged five civilian impostors who were found guilty of impersonation and possession of forged Uganda Peoples Defense Forces (UPDF) Military Identity Cards and Army uniforms, which are a monopoly of UPDF.

The suspects appeared before Court chaired by Col Tom Kabuye at CMI Headquarters, Mbuya.

They include:  Akora Brian, Bwiire Robert, Naama Gerald, Mr Wasswa Juuko Godfrey and Ssewanyana Yahaya.

According to CMI, the suspects were after careful deliberations referred to the Division Court Martial at the Army Land Force Headquarters Bombo, because the Unit Disciplinary Committee Court has no jurisdiction to try such offenses.

The CMI has advised the public to desist from using military stores and warned that “Anyone caught with it will be dealt with under military law.”
