Uganda’s electoral Commission receives the first batch of over 40 tones of the 2021 election polling materials

 The Uganda Electoral Commission has received a batch of over 40 tones of the 2021 election polling materials that arrived in the Country on Wednesday evening at Entebbe International Airport.


These were received by the delegation of the Commission led by the Chairperson Justice Simon Mugyenyi Byabakama, as delivered to the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority by the Fly Emirates from the United Arab Emirates.


While addressing the Media at Entebbe International Airport, Byabakama, said the first Electoral Materials measure total of 4o tones and these are ballots for Woman Member of Parliaments and local councils, printed by the Al Ghariar Printing and Publishing LLC in the United Arab Emirates- Dubai


Byabakama further revealed that the commission divided the country into   electoral regions, and this shipping is for Kampala, South West, Central south, Northern, Elgon, Karamoja and West Nile, but not sure of the right number of ballots, in the 17 pallets.


He added that another set shall be delivered on Thursday 10 December at around 1pm, and among them will be for Presidential ballots.
