The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Diana Atwine who presided over the handover of nets appreciated the support from UPDF towards improving service delivery in the health sector.

The Ministry of Health is yet to roll out the third Universal Coverage Campaign for the distribution of Mosquito nets which will see the distribution of 27 million nets starting in April 2020.

This year’s Tarehe Sita anniversary main activities will take place in Great Luweero Area under the theme “Consolidating the UPDF strategic partnership with the people to guard gains of liberation.”
Brig Gen Richard Karemire, the Defence Spokesperson said that the 2020 celebrations will cover districts of Luweero, Nakaseke, Nakasongola and Wakiso (Busiro North).
