Uganda Records the Highest Covid-19 Infections and Deaths in a Single Day

Since the Corona virus pandemic hit Uganda as well as Africa at large, the East African country has managed to record low number of new infections as well as deaths.

However, on Saturday 5th of September 2020, the country recorded very high number of new Corona virus infections as well as deaths in a single day.

The country recorded 186 new Corona virus infections which raised the total number of infections to 3,539 cases.

The ministry of health also reported 4 new deaths bringing the total number of Covid-19 fatalities do far to 39.

“Results from COVID-19 tests done on 04 September 2020,186 new COVID-19 cases confirmed. The cumulative total confirmed cases of Ugandans are now 3,539🔺4 COVID-19 deaths registered today. This brings the total COVID-19 deaths to 39.”@Ministry of Health Uganda.

The breakdown of the 186 new cases are: 🔺Contacts and alerts (176): Kampala (81), Gulu (33), Pader (15), Kapchorwa (9), Mukono (6), Kiryandongo (5), Mbale (5), Buikwe (3), Lamwo (3), Bududa (2), Iganga (2), Wakiso (2), Arua (1), Butalejja (1), Buvuma (1), Kanungu (1),Kibuku -1

Uganda has in the recent days been recording high number of new infections of the novel Corona virus infections which had really gotten Ugandans worried over the situation in the country.
