SPORTS: URA FC signs former KCCA midfielder

NAKAWA – URA FC are off and running in the 2020 summer transfer window. Despite being linked to a host of players, the Tax Collectors have had to wait until August 11, to complete their first signing. The player in question is attacking midfielder Jackson Nunda. Nunda joins the Tax Collectors as a free agent after his contract with KCCA FC expired at the end of June. The left-footed playmaker is believed o have signed a three year deal at Sam Simbwa’s side and will play for them until-at least 2023. SOCCER: Denis Iguma set to join KCCA

Sources at the club reveal that Iguma who passed his medical at the club is said to have signed a two-year deal with the 13-time league champions. "He finalised with the medical and we believe everything will go smoothly. We are preparing a team that will be able to compete on the continent and local scene," stated club board member Ali Kasirye Nganda while speaking on Bukedde FM on Tuesday evening. The 26-year-old who can play both in defence and midfield arrives at a time when KCCA will be without its reliable defender John Revita for a chunk of the upcoming season due to a knee injury. UGANDA: Express FC signs Lwesibawa, two other Tooro United players

Barely a week after signing a contract extension at Express FC, Wasswa Bbosa has started recruiting players for the 2020/21 season. Bbosa who signed a three year deal last week is set to sign as many former players. The players in question are all from relegated Tooro United FC, a side Bbosa coached at the start of the just ended Uganda Premier League. Forwards Godfrey Lwesibawa plus Charles Musiige and midfielder John Byamukama will all soon be Express FC players. This is a second home coming for Lwesibawa who was at Wankulukuku before joining rivals SC Villa in 2015. The winger has also previously featured for Vipers SC and is a key figure in the Uganda Beach Soccer national team.
