Lawyer Male Mabirizi has said Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine is unfit to stand for presidency since he lied about his age.
Mabirizi recently petitioned the Electoral Commission seeking to be availed with the academic documents for Kyadondo East MP and National Unity Platform leader.
On Friday, the lawyer unveiled the academic documents availed to him by the Electoral Commission in which he said Bobi Wine lied about his age.
“I was availed with all documents presented by Bobi Wine to EC in 2017 Kyadondo East by-election and I discovered dishonesty on his side. He was not born in 1982 as he claims because the Makerere University transcript shows that he was born on February 12, 1980,”Mabirizi told journalists.

The Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) has summoned presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, and the State Minister for Investment, Ms Evelyn Anite, over allegations that they held rallies in disregard to the presidential directives on coronavirus.Bobi Wine is expected to appear at the CID next Tuesday while Ms Anite is supposed to report on Monday.

According to EC records, Bobi picked forms yesterday through one of his handlers Paul Ssimbwa Kagombe.
Meanwhile yesterday, NUP announced they had no flag bearer yet for the position of presidency.
In a press briefing addressed by people power spokesperson Joel Ssenyonyi, the NUP party launched nominations for the position of national flag bearer.

KAMPALA — National Unity Platform and People Power leader Robert Kyagulanyi popular name Bobi Wine has relaunched a new Ghetto TV platform and yet to be identified people hacked into, and took hold of the People Power’s Ghetto TV page on Weekend.

The Electoral Commission has received a petition from some people belonging to the original party challenging the method in which Kyagulanyi became the leader
The founding members of NURP have also lodged a complaint to the Electoral Commission (EC) under Sections 4 and 21 of the Political Parties and Organisations Act, 2005, punching holes into what they described as the "unlawful" and "illegal" transactions that underpinned Bobi Wine's takeover of their party. Yesterday, the EC chairperson, Justice Simon Byabakama, confirmed receiving the petition.
"We have received a petition from some people belonging to the original party challenging the method in which Kyagulanyi became the leader. They say they were not consulted as members of the party," Byabakama told journalists.

Police in Mbale City on Saturday morning fired teargas and live bullets to disperse the supporters of National Unity Platform (NUP) party led by the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, Mr Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.
Mr Kyagulanyi was scheduled to appear on one of the local radio stations for a talk show from 9am to 11am.
The NUP supporters donning red started converging outside the Bugisu Cooperative Union (BCU) radio station premises as early as 7am as they chanted People Power slogan. Police was alerted and officers were deployed to disperse them.
Police engaged the NUP supporters in running battles in the city as they fired teargas canisters and bullets. In the process, several people were arrested and are currently detained at Mbale Central Police Station.
