SPORTS: Arthur Ashe Tennis Program Grand Finale – Uganda.

 U.S. Mission Uganda, in partnership with the Tartan Burners Athletic Club, the Uganda Tennis Association, and the Uganda Network of Young People Living with HIV & AIDS, has organized The grand finale of the Arthur Ashe   Tennis Program.  The program has empowered Ugandan youth through the sport of tennis and has provided HIV/AIDS education.  This event will be free and open to the public.  There will be an exhibition doubles match featuring top Ugandan and U.S. tennis players.  U.S. Mission Uganda Chargé d’Affaires Christopher Krafft will provide remarks.  The program is named after Arthur Ashe, a famous African American tennis player who was also an HIV/AIDS activist.  Singer Navio will perform the national anthems.  Free health services will be provided to the ...
