The death of a young woman in Brazzaville over fake covid-19 diagnosis has sparked fury. André Ngakala Oko, prosecutor of the Congo Republic on Monday visited the Albert Leyono Municipal Clinic, one of the facilities treating coronavirus patients. He then ordered the opening of a judicial inquiry to shed light and establish responsibility for the death of Chloé Bafoui-din-soni. The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Kumi, Hussein Kato, has been detained at Entebbe police station over corruption and for threatening to fight security officers who tried to intervene in wrangle over sand mining in Kassanda district. According to the commandant of police Mineral protection Unit at Entebbe, Jessica Keigomba, Kato will be charged with eight counts of abuse of police, assaulting a police officer on duty, obstructing a police officer on duty, criminal trespass, threatening violence, corruption tendencies and forgery. He will also be charged with spreading harmful propaganda to all government offices, media houses and fighting the police mineral protection unit in addition to sabotaging government programmes. A sixty year old man is on the run in Namisindwa district after killing his former lover and setting her body on fire. Police is searching for Ronald Mapamba (60) who is suspected to have killed Betty Mutuwa (53) after she scorned his affections and left his house. Mapamba is a resident of Mikhama village, Busambatasa II parish, Buwabwala sub county in Namisindwa district. Mapamba is suspected to have committed the offense on Friday, February 14, 2020 at around 11am. Residents realized something was amiss after fire started billowing from the house Mutuwa shared with her parents. Mutuwa had moved back home after ending her relationship with Mapamba. A ballistic expert has told Court that gunshot residues were found on the clothes belonging to Matthew Kanyamunyu. Gunshot residues are deposited on the hands and clothes of someone who discharges a firearm. Kanyamunyu and his girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari are on trial for the murder of child rights activist Kenneth Akena. On Friday, Ms Robinah Kirinya a Principal Analyst from the Government Analytical Laboratory in Kampala, told court that she examined exhibits like Kanyamunyu's car, and in the glove compartment, where he allegedly hid the killer gun that is still missing. “The bullet was fired from a 0.22 firearm such as a pistol or a revolver,” Ms Kirinya told trial judge Stephen Mubiru.

Detective Sargent Patrick Alunyu told court presided over by Justice Steven Mubiru that he was told by one Robert Mutebi,a security guard at Nakasero hospital that Joseph Kanyamunyu had been seen picking a gun from his brother’s vehicle before driving away in another vehicle. “Another vehicle entered the hospital and a gentleman came out.
