South Sudan ranked second high-risk country for air workers

An academic and research institution, Insight Security based in Switzerland has released a new report that ranked South Sudan as the second most dangerous place for aid workers recording the highest number of death casualties.

According to the researchers, 155 aid workers were killed in 108 incidents across in 18 countries with Syria ranking first with 81 death, South Sudan topping second with 15 while Afghanistan coming third with 14.

On kidnaps, South Sudan was ranked as the country with the highest number of aid workers kidnapped during their tour of duties while Bangladesh has the highest number of aid workers arrested within their borders.

The report covers various periods since conflicts/wars commenced in these countries.
