South Africans have been offered free train rides to welcome their victorious rugby World Cup squad at the OR Tambo International Airport on Tuesday in the country’s largest city Johannesburg.

The Gautrain, the commuter train service in the city, will offer free rides to supporters wearing a Springboks jersey on Tuesday.

The free rides will be “from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm and from 6 pm to 8 pm.”

Gautrain Management Agency outlined terms and conditions for the free rides, including no luggage.

The Springboks squad will return home in batches over two days. The first group, to be led by Captain Siya Kolisi and Coach Rassie Erasmus, will arrive on Tuesday with the World Cup.

Other team members are expected on Wednesday.

The entire team will then embark on a bus tour with stops in Pretoria, Durban, Port Elizabeth, and Cape Town.
