A prominent city lawyer Male Mabirizi has sued Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni over alleged forged academic documents.

Male in a suit filed on Thursday in Kampala raises concern over what he describes as “quick way in which President Museveni left Dar-es salaam University”.

Male wants court to order the Electoral Commission to produce copies of the academic documents that President Museveni used to register for the 2001, 2006, 2011 and 2016 elections.

Male claims in a sworn affidavit that there is no way President Musveni could graduate from Dar-es salaam University when he was busy fighting a guerrilla war.

He further claims that President Museveni was rejected by Makerere University for lacking the requisite academic qualification (A’ level certificate) to pursue his dream of political science degree.

President Museveni has ruled Uganda for 32 years and has indicated he may contest in 2021 elections.
