Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board (UBTEB) is set to conduct its 16th Examinations series for 24,161 students registered from 202 examination centers across the
country. The examinations will start on Friday 17th May 2019 to 17 June 2019. The May/June 2019 examinations series will be conducted in three phases. The first phase of examinations include Technical Diploma and Higher Diploma programmes and will start on 17th May 2019 with briefing of candidates and end on 31st May 2019, phase two examinations shall start on 28111 May
2018 and end on 13th June 2019. Phase three examinations will commence on 31st May 2019 up to 17th June 2019.
The Board has registered an increase in the number of candidates from 23,560 candidates in May/June 2018 examination series to 24,161 candidates of May/June 2019 examination series representing a 9.3% increase.
The Board has continued to register bigger enrolment of candidates in Vocational training institutions and other training institutions accredited all over the country. During these examinations’ series, we have registered an increase in the number of examinations centres that presented candidates for examinations from 173 in 2018 to 202 in 2019. The increase in the number of candidates is attributed to the achievements ofthe Skilling Uganda strategy where the much emphasis has been put on promoting demand driven courses offered by various accredited training institutions including Universities for post O’level and post A’level vocational and specialized programmes.
The Board registered candidates for Business Diploma and Certificate programmes, Technical
National Diploma and Higher Diploma programmes and other specialized Academic programmes including Fisheries, Meteorology, Agriculture, Wild life and Lands and Survey.
