From connecting millions of people across the world with a dream of delivering a bold new world

to its subscribers, MTN is seeking to connect youth to their dreams in its new thematic

campaign dubbed ‘For Good’.

The ‘For Good’ campaign was rolled out by MTN Group in November last year and will run

across the 21 countries in which MTN operates. Running under the theme; ‘whatever your

dream, let’s create it together’ in Uganda, the campaign will be tied around connecting people,

particularly the youth to their dream.

As a company that has evolved from a small SME to the dream Multinational brand that it is

today, MTN’s journey is proof that dreams are valid and that the future belongs to those who

dare to dream and pursue their dreams relentlessly.

Today, MTN is a leading emerging market telecommunications operator with 240 million

customers in 21 countries in Africa and the Middle East. In 2015, the Telecom giant was named

its position of being at the forefront of innovation in connectivity.

From connecting people through fixed landlines when it started its operations in Uganda in

1998, MTN made a mark on the country’s telecom landscape as the first operator to introduce

affordable mobile handsets, then known as ‘kabiriti’, making many Ugandans realize their dream

of owning a mobile cellular phone. In the wake of smartphones, the telecom giant made another

first by introducing the first feature smart phone, ‘Kamunye’ that has gone a long way to give

Ugandans an opportunity to own a smartphone at as low as Shs. 89000.
