KAMPALA — Anthony Ndegwa, CEO, MoKash Uganda Anthony Ndegwa the CEO of Commercial Bank of Africa (Uganda) Limited says MoKash services on MTN Uganda have been fully restored to full operations after days of massive disruptions to customers.

MoKash, a platform which allows mobile money subscribers to apply for loans and save money using their phones, had gone off on weekend, leading to inconveniences.

“MoKash services have been fully restored. We have since resolved the technical issues and customers are now able to transact normally, Mr. Ndegwa said.
He said the company regrets the inconvenience to customers over the disruption of service.

Operationally, the relationship between MoKash customers and the service providers is managed by MTN, as part of the partnership agreement between MTN and CBA Uganda.

MoKash, coined from an English phrase ‘More cash’, is a mobile-based banking service offered to Uganda MTN Mobile Money customers by CBA in partnership with MTN.

MoKash offers customers both a Deposit and a Loan product for making micro-savings and taking micro-loans.
