Mohamed Salah named 2018 African Player of the Year

DAKAR, Senegal

Egyptian born and Liverpool football player Mohamed Salah has been named the African Player of the year winning the award for the second time in a row.

Salah 26 finished first with club-mate Senegalese Sadio Mane and Arsenal and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the other finalists. 

Last year, Salah became the only second Egyptian after Mahmoud al Khatib (1983) to be voted the best footballer in Africa.
