Kampala Capital City Authority Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka today made an inspection of a number of roads in the City. She was first impressed by the the work on the first site which is John Babiha road now known as Acacia.
However, later, she found out that drainage channels were left open, something dangerous to pedestrians. She blasted the Contractors of this work and City Engineers for not supervising well.”This site is near a School.I can not be a proud parent of a child of Kabojja Junior School with the surrounds are dirty”
.”Yes, you are doing a great job but this does not mean you keep the environment dirty. We are going to work together to see that this is improved. We are accountable to the tax payers. We need to do better than this.
This time we are not extending these contracts. All the funds were paid, the contractors must finish the work by working day and night to meet the targets.Kisaka also inspected Kulambiro, Ntinda Stretcher and Bunamwaya roads respectively.
