Kayihura co-accused arraigned in Military Court

KAMPALA, Uganda

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kale Kaihura ans six police officers have been arraigned before the court martial in Makidye and are being charged with unlawful authorisation of issuance of arms and aiding kidnap and illegal repatriation of Rwandans.

This follows the prosecutions side led by Maj. Raphael Mugisha who amended the charge sheet where Kayihura appears as accused number one, to include his juniors.

They include; former Police Flying Squad Unit (FSU) commandant, assistant commissioner of Police Herbert Muhangi, former commandant of the Special Operations Unit (SOU) Nixon Agasirwe, former Crime Intelligence chief, Col Richard Ndahura Atwoki, Richard Ndaboine, Patrick Muramira, Jonas Ayebaza and Abel Kitagenda.
