As he was before the Makindye General Court Martial alongside 9 others, Hajji Abdullah Kitatta, who is facing charges of unlawful possession of firearms and Military stores has denied ever working or being member of the Bodaboda 2010 group.
While defending himself in a sworn testimony, Kitatta told the army court that he owned only two offices in Rubaga division but of other organizations and not Bodaboda 2010. One of the offices, he said, belonged to the National Resistance Movement (Rubaga Division) which was located at Balintuma Road in Mengo, and the other belonged to the National Union of Drivers Cyclists and Allied Workers Association, which was located at Movit Building in Nateete.
“I, Hajji Abdullah Kitatta am not a member or a leader of Bodaboda 2010,” he said. Kitatta further said the Bodaboda 2010 Group was headed by Joel Kibirige, one of his co-accused who used to serve as its chairman.
He therefore professed that Kibirige is the right person to explain more about the operations of this Association.
