Former Boda boda patron found guilty of unlawful possession of fire arms

KAMPALA, Uganda

The former patron of Boda boda group Abdallah Kitata alongside his body guard Ngobi Sowali have been found guilty of unlawful possession of fire arms contrary to section 3 of the Firm arms act but was acquitted on the charge of unlawful possession of military gear because of limited evidence.

His colleagues Joel Kibirige, Matia Senfuka, Hassan Sebatta, John Sebandeke, Hussein Mugema, Fred Bwanika and Amon Twinomujuni were all acquitted of all charges.

The case was being presided over by a seven-member panel led by Lt Gen. Andrew Gutti.

Court with sentence the accused on Tuesday 14th/ May/2019.
