Norway Manufacturing PMI Drops Slightly in April
Norway’s DNB Manufacturing PMI dropped to 59.1 in April of 2021 from an upwardly revised 60.5 in the previous month, but remaining at a historical high level. Four of the five main sub-indexes experienced a decline: new orders (56.5 from 60.1 in March), production (57.3 from 60.9), employment (59.5 from 60.3), and stock of purchased goods (51.3 vs 52.3), usually related with a higher demand. In contrast, there was an increase in the sub-index for suppliers’ delivery time (73.5 from 69.3), often associated with high activity, despite not being possible to disentangle the reading from actual delivery inefficiencies.
