KAMPALA — Four male and three female patients who have fully recovered from the novel coronavirus have been discharged from Mulago Hospital.

Uganda’s recovered coronavirus cases have increased to 20 cases.

Earlier this week the Ministry of Health declared 18 coronavirus patients free and would be discharged on Easter Monday but this did not happen.
Mr Emmanuel Ainebyoona, the spokesperson at the Ministry of Health, said discharging patients depends on the readiness of the communities.

Health workers sang songs of worship and praise to demonstrate their joy and happiness over the discharge of the patients.

Hoima regional referral hospital also discharged one 43-year-old female recovered patient. The patient was admitted at the health facility on March 20, 2020, after she tested positive to COVID-19 upon return from Dubai.
