On March 16, when Uganda was preparing to fight COVID-19, Ms Kadaga introduced a group of scientists to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who were ready to locally produce a medicine that would kill the virus. Kadaga would later assure legislators that Uganda was on the verge of manufacturing a medicine that kills the virus.
