Nigeria Becomes First African Basketball Team To Beat U.S. Men’s National Team

Basketball, GAMES, Nigeria, Sports, USA
The start-studded all-NBA U.S. men’s basketball team roster was upset by Nigeria in their first exhibition match ahead of the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. Nigeria became the first African basketball team to defeat the stacked U.S. team, coming out victorious with the final score 90-87. Although the loss will unlikely affect the United State’s gold medal ambitions, the feat is more symbolic than ever. The loss saw Team USA‘s record drop to 54-3 in exhibition games, which it has held since 1992 when NBA players were first given the go ahead to play in the Olympics. The last time Team USA lost an exihibtion game was in 2019 against Australia at the FIBA World Cup. Nine years ago, Team USA beat Nigeria 156-73 at the 2012 London Olympics. It appears that the team has made its vengence in...

The victor, also known as “The Diamond” now takes a 2-1 lead in the rivalry against the Irishman, just six months after a memorable second-round stoppage at UFC 257 that saw Poirier earn a shot at the lightweight title which is currently held by Brazilian fighter, Charles Oliveira. After Fury beat him via technical knockout in February 2020, Wilder was eager for a rematch which was initially scheduled to take place in July. However, it was postponed to October due to Wilder recovering from surgery and the COVID-19 pandemic.  The fight kept getting shifted and it later looked like Fury would take on Anthony Joshua before an arbitration judge ruled that h...

CAN A SINGLE UPGRADE UNLOCK SUZUKI’S 2022 MOTOGP POTENTIAL?

FIM, GAMES, Moto GP, Motorsport, RACING, Sports, SUZUKI
Over the course of the past 12 months, MotoGP has taken one of its biggest technical jumps in recent years, as ride height adjustment devices have become de rigueur across the grid – and with reigning world champions Suzuki now the only team absent the vital component, this year’s summer break could well be a make-or-break time for it to catch up with its competitors. Ride height devices are an evolution of the holeshot device first introduced by Ducati at the end of the 2018 season, to ensure that the Desmosedicis get a better start by locking out the front suspension. First trialled by Jack Miller, it means that no power is wasted in compressing the forks when riders release the clutch, ensuring a few vital hundredths of a second off the line. Under the development of maverick...
